According to the “Measures for the Management of Energy Efficiency Labeling” (Order No. 35 of 2016 of the National Development and Reform Commission and the former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), the National Development and Reform Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation have organized the revision of the “Catalog of Products Implementing Energy Efficiency Labeling of the People’s Republic of China (16th Batch)” and related implementation rules and notices. The public solicitation of opinions for this round is from August 21, 2023, to September 21, 2023.

The 16th batch of the catalog includes newly added energy efficiency labeling for products such as welding machines, LED panel lights, and commercial induction cookers.

CEL 044-2023	LED Flat Panel Light for General Lighting	Applicable to LED flat panel lights for general lighting purposes that use LED as the light source. These lights should have a rated voltage of 220 V and operate at a frequency of 50 Hz. The maximum allowable thickness for these lights is 85 mm. This specification covers both the LED light source and its associated control device. Please note that the thickness of an external control device is not considered when measuring the fixture’s thickness. CEL 045-2023	Commercial Induction Cooker	This applies to electromagnetic stoves with single or multiple heating units, where the rated power of a single heating unit is less than 35 kW, and the rated voltage does not exceed 450 V.
